About

I built Creative Planning to solve a problem I saw early in my career; clients were getting fragmented advice that didn’t serve them. Investments were managed without tax awareness. Legal planning was disconnected from portfolio decisions. And too often, advice was influenced by product incentives rather than client outcomes.

Creative Planning was designed to bring investment management, tax strategy and legal planning together under one roof, while remaining fully independent. That independence matters. It allows us to act solely as fiduciaries and avoid conflicts that can compromise advice.

Today, we provide integrated wealth management services including investment management, financial planning, tax and estate planning, charitable planning, retirement plan consulting and business advisory services together, not in silos.

As of January 1, 2026, Creative Planning and its affiliates manage approximately $700 billion in combined assets under management or advisement for clients in all 50 states and more than 100 countries. While the firm has grown, our philosophy has not changed: deliver clear, objective advice aligned entirely with our clients’ best interests.

Creative Planning has been recognized by Barron’s, Forbes, and CNBC among the top Registered Investment Advisor firms. I regularly share perspectives on investing, leadership and long-term decision-making and can be followed across these social platforms:
